How do I add a Payment to a Sale?

To add a Payment to a Sale, either create a new Sale or edit a Sale

Payments can also be added to Sales in the Checkout screen, see How do I checkout a Reservation?

Payments in a Sale are listed in the 'Payments' section

The payment amount can be left as is or overridden if needed

Choose a payment method from the following:

To add a Payment to a Sale, first Create a new Sale or edit an existing Sale

Payments can also be added to Sales in the Checkout screen ( How do I checkout a Reservation?)

Add a Payment by scrolling down to the PAYMENTS section in the Edit Sale box, and tapping + Add Payment (the payment amount can be overridden if required):

Choose a payment method from the following:

To add a Customer Credit payment, enter the required amount and click Customer CreditClick Close Sale to close the Sale or
Continue Editing to return to the open Sale
Gift Cardhow-do-i-add-a-payment-to-a-saleTo pay for a Sale with a Gift Card the Customer must have a valid Gift Card on file, see How do I sell a Gift Card?
To add a Gift Card payment, enter the required amount and tap Pay A list of Gift Cards assigned to this Customer will appear, tap directly on the relevant cardAlternatively, it is possible to use the Search field to search for and pay with a differentCustomer's Gift Card, or a Gift Card in the system which is unassigned to a CustomerSelect Yes, Close from the Save & Close Sale popup
Loyalty Pointshow-do-i-add-a-payment-to-a-saleIf a Customer has accumulated Loyalty Points, these will appear on the Loyalty Points button. To add a Loyalty Points payment, enter the required amount and tap Loyalty PointsSelect Yes, Close from the Save & Close Sale popup

Enter in the name of your desired payment method eg 'Credit Card', and click OK

Alternatively, tap directly on one of the Shortcut payment options displayed in the PAYMENTS section in the right-hand screen (iPad only):

Once a payment has been made, you can choose to:

  • Email Customer (set to enabled by default) with a Sales Invoice
  • P****rint Receipt (only available if you have previously connected a receipt printer)*
  • Open Cash Drawer (only available if you have previously connected a cash drawer)*

To add a Payment to a Sale, first Create a new Sale or edit an existing Sale

Payments can also be added to Sales in the Checkout screen ( How do I checkout a Reservation?)

Add a payment by tapping the green + icon > Add Payment

The Amount field will be pre-filled with the outstanding Sale amount but can be overridden

Select a payment method from the Add Payment box:

On the right-hand side of the Sale screen, scroll down to thePayments Short Cut buttonsin the Payments section:

Loyalty Pointshow-do-i-add-a-payment-to-a-saleIf a Customer has accumulated Loyalty Points, these will appear on the Loyalty Points button. To add a Loyalty Points payment, tap the Loyalty Points buttonIf the customer has accrued enough points to pay for the sale fully, just tap PAYOREdit the amount accordingly, tap PAY and return to the open sale to proceed with the remaining payment
Custom
how-do-i-add-a-payment-to-a-saleTo add a C****ustom payment method, tap on the green Add + button, enter in the name of your desired payment in the Custom Payment box (eg 'Payment Terminal', 'Credit Card'), and tap OKPLEASE NOTE: Once created, a Custom Payment can not be edited or removed. If not used for 30 consecutive days, the Custom Payment will disappear from the system

When closing a Sale you can select whether or not you would like to send a Your Recent Sale notification/receipt email to your Customer, by checking/un-checking the Send Email box
